-- Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Aleshovich Kasymaliev arrived in Hanoi on Wednesday evening, beginning his official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, according to the Vietnam News Agency.

-- A cold front is forecast to sweep across the northern region, bringing scattered rains on Thursday, while showers might hit many localities in central Vietnam. The Central Highlands and southern regions will experience high temperatures at up to 35 degrees Celsius, according to the national weather center.

-- The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has asked municipal departments and all the districts and Thu Duc City to closely collaborate with the municipal Department of Finance to review pricing at parking lots in the city.

-- A delegation from a Chinese railway agency on Wednesday worked with officials from Lam Dong Province, expressing interest in joining the Thap Cham-Da Lat railway restoration project. The rail route runs from south-central Ninh Thuan Province to the Central Highlands province.

-- Diagnosed with metastatic rectal cancer at 26 weeks pregnant, a 23-year-old woman who resides in Son La Province, northern Vietnam faced a life-threatening situation. However, doctors from the Vietnam National Cancer Hospital and the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology successfully saved both her and her child in February.

-- A head-on crash between two trucks occurred on a local road in Quang Binh Province, north-central Vietnam on Wednesday afternoon, claiming the lives of two people trapped in the cabin.

-- Ho Chi Minh City will tighten waterway traffic safety inspections by stepping up patrols, taking action against overloaded passenger and cargo vessels and unregistered boats, and cracking down on unlicensed wharves to ensure safety for the inland waterway traffic system.

-- Over 60 U.S. enterprises active in the defense, security, service, banking, and hi-tech sectors will travel to Vietnam and sound out cooperation opportunities from March 18 to 20.

-- Vietnam will operate a crypto exchange on a trial basis in March, Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi told a press briefing on Wednesday.

-- After nearly three years of suspension, several charter flights connecting 11 Russian cities with Nha Trang, a beach city of south-central Khanh Hoa Province, will resume on March 16.
